Vehicle Purchase Terms
By using the Project M Japan website, requesting an auction bid, placing a deposit, or purchasing a vehicle through Project M Japan, the customer agrees to the following terms.
A $1,000 USD auction deposit is required for customers who would like Project M Japan to bid on a vehicle through Japanese auctions.
If Project M Japan does not successfully purchase a vehicle for the customer, the deposit is eligible for a refund.
Any applicable payment processing fees, including Stripe or other payment-provider fees, may be deducted from the refunded amount.
Once Project M Japan successfully purchases a vehicle on behalf of the customer, the auction deposit becomes non-refundable and will be applied toward the vehicle purchase or applicable charges.
A deposit made specifically to hold or reserve an available vehicle is non-refundable.
This is separate from an auction deposit and applies when a customer requests that Project M Japan reserve a vehicle and remove it from availability.
Project M Japan will make reasonable efforts to provide customers with all visible and reasonably identifiable aspects of the vehicle, including visible exterior, interior, mechanical, cosmetic, and other condition issues that can reasonably be identified through available inspections, photographs, auction information, and our own inspection.
However, many vehicles we sell are older than 20 years, and used vehicles naturally have age-related wear and tear.
Project M Japan is not responsible for normal age-related wear and tear, cosmetic deterioration, or defects that are not reasonably visible or identifiable before purchase.
Customers should understand that purchasing an older used vehicle carries inherent risks, and no used vehicle can be guaranteed to be free from future mechanical or electrical issues.
As an additional benefit, Project M Japan provides a 1-month limited warranty/insurance policy covering the engine and transmission, subject to the specific terms and conditions of the applicable policy.
This coverage does not automatically extend to other components, normal maintenance, wear-and-tear items, cosmetic issues, electrical components, suspension, brakes, tires, or other parts unless specifically stated in the applicable policy.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the available auction information, photographs, inspection reports, vehicle specifications, condition information, and estimated costs before purchasing a vehicle.
By placing a deposit or proceeding with a vehicle purchase, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
